I joined MHW in March of 2019. I wanted to feel better about the way I looked. I was tired of being overweight and trying to find clothes that looked decent on me. And I remember looking in the mirror and thinking “I gotta do something”. When I started thinking about losing weight, I remembered I had a friend who had done well in this program a year before.
Oh gosh! It was the easiest diet I’ve ever done. Ever. And I’ve done everything. The thing that made the biggest difference was the support. I’ve been to weight-loss classes, but nothing like this. It was great knowing that there was someone to talk to that had all the answers, but it was even better that they asked us questions. For example, they would give us challenges and ask how we would handle specific situations- “What would you do if you wanted to go out to eat?”. This gave us a chance to hear how others were handling challenges along the way and it got us prepared to handle those challenges in the long-term when we were trying to keep the weight from coming back. By October I had lost 60.8 pounds and I have maintained that loss ever since.
In losing the weight, I have met my goals. I feel like I look better and I love going shopping now for clothes. I never really felt “bad” when I was heavier, and I didn’t heavy any health problems, but I definitely feel great now, and I do have more energy. I would do the MHW program all over again, and I really try to get other people to join as well.
If you’re reading this, you need to know it wasn’t a miserable “diet”. It was a good experience. Losing weight shouldn’t be so hard. The process here was actually fun. You have a great supportive environment, and you don’t have to make too many choices or think hard about your routine, even in the long term. Just come in and talk to someone. Find out how it works, and look at all of the success photos if you need more proof!June 23, 2020 12:29 pm
